Now Get Passport even with 498A

THIS GAZETTE IS DATED 25th AUGUST 1993 NO. G.S.R. 570(E).

This notification changed the life of men needing passport and having criminal cases against them.

THIS NOTIFICATION SAYS FOLLOWING:
“PASSPORT TO BE ISSUED TO EVERY SUCH CITIZEN SHALL BE ISSUED:
(i) FOR THE PERIOD SPECIFIED IN ORDER OF THE COURT”

Before 1993, Passport Authority had the right to blindly reject passport requests for Husbands suffering with false ‪#‎498A‬ cases.

Now, with an NOC from the court, the Passport Authority can NOT reject the passport application of the Husband “ON THE GROUNDS THAT A CRIMINAL CASE IS RUNNING” though other grounds of rejection would continue as it is.
